Butterflies are my favorite design element right now. I plant native plants to attract butterflies to my yard and well, they are just me. However, what I am about to show you might, if you know me, shock you. Yes, I made it, all by myself.

I know, PINK, right? I dealt with the light pink by adding the other great colors in this paper- Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo.
This tray started out like this:
I found it at a Rummage or Thrift Store a while back. Moving and shedding most of my collectionables made me realize what I really wanted to play with and this I kept once I saw the doily paper. I had this design in my mind for a while, but had to make hostess appreciation invites first so I knew what I had left to play with!
The trickiest part of this was that the original cross stitch had a thicker background piece and I added my paper right to the back tray. Opps. I then had a gap. See those little pearls in the four corners? I added them for spacers or shims. Perfection!
